It’s that time of the year again – the holiday season. Where friends and relatives make common appearances at your home and sometimes stay for extended periods of time. This year, instead of having them use the same worn out air mattress, why not try surprising them with a new home office design complete with a brand new Murphy bed
If this sounds like too much work to do in not enough time, think again! The professionals at Tailored Living can help expedite this process and get your home ready for the relatives in record timing. Consultants will be happy to come to your house and discuss what you are looking to accomplish with your new home office design concept. Once everyone has come to an agreement on a new design, your Tailored Living home organization specialists can get to work on creating your new custom home office from scratch. First and foremost, the Murphy bed will be the perfect addition to your new home office.
If you are unfamiliar with the term; a Murphy bed, also known as a wall bed, is a type of fold-away bed that lays up against the wall, concealed in a custom cabinet when it is not in use. These beds are the ideal sleeping arrangements for guest rooms, spare rooms, and even in new home offices. They don’t take up any more space than a large cabinet would when they are folded away and they make a perfectly comfortable bed when they are in use.
Turn your new home office design into a multi-purpose room by simply adding a Murphy bed and increase productivity with a desk and cabinets streamlined to help increase your effectiveness when working. Tired of sitting at the desk all day? Ask about how you can convert your regular desk into a healthy standing desk! The opportunities for your new home office are endless when you let your creativity flow and you work with the consultants at your local Tailored Living. Give them a call today and schedule your free in-home consultation!

Home Franchise Concepts Enlists Lisa Rosser to Help Match Military Veterans with Business Opportunities

Home Franchise Concepts (HFC) – the parent company of home improvement franchises Budget Blinds and Tailored Living – has enlisted military veteran and veteran business advocate Lisa Rosser to help reach and educate the veteran community on the benefits of owning a franchise business. Using Lisa Rosser’s expert advice, as well as personal and professional experience, HFC hopes to give retired service men and women an exciting new platform where they can apply their military training.

Lisa Rosser served 10 years of active duty in the U.S. Army and was involved in several military engagements, including the Gulf War.  Rosser later served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 12 years, where her career took her from operations to human resource management. Compiling all her personal and professional experiences in the military, Lisa Rosser founded The Value of a Veteran in 2007; an organization that teaches businesses principles in veteran hiring and retention. Today, Lisa takes part in workshops, seminars, and consulting engagements for programs that help build futures for veterans such as the VetFran program from the International Franchise Association.

“Working together with HFC, we can inform more veterans on the benefits of owning their own franchise business and ultimately open the door to a fulfilling career path for them after active service,” said Lisa Rosser. “Veterans have so much to offer the business world because of their military experience. Their focus and desire to succeed make them outstanding candidates for on opportunity such as this.”

Lisa Rosser was primarily brought on board to provide strategic direction to HFC’s Million Dollar Franchise Event, scheduled to launch on Veteran’s Day November 11, 2013. The event seeks to honor veterans and make the American Dream of owning a business possible for them by granting substantial discounts off the purchase of a Budget Blinds or Tailored Living franchise system. With a history of supporting veterans and military-related causes, HFC seeks to grant at least 30 franchises to veterans totaling over 1 million dollars in discounts.

“The Million Dollar Franchise Event is our way of giving back to the military men and women that have sacrificed so much for our country,” said Chad Hallock, CEO of Home Franchise Concepts. “We believe the discipline, determination, and confidence they have gained during active duty has prepared them for a successful career as franchise business owners. With Lisa’s unique background and skillset, we hope to get that message across to veterans of all backgrounds and help them reach success by taking charge of their futures through business ownership.”

Home Franchise Concepts Launches Program to Help Veterans Become Entrepreneurs

Throughout history, the United States Armed Forces have selflessly put their lives in danger to protect our freedoms. When those that have given so much for our country retire from active duty, an opportune moment arises to give back. Home Franchise Concepts (HFC) – the parent company of home improvement franchise companies Budget Blinds and Tailored Living – believes the skills military veterans gained while on active duty have prepared them for a successful role as franchise business owners. To show appreciation for all these men and women have sacrificed, and provide encouragement to make this rewarding transition into civilian life, HFC is launching the Million Dollar Franchise Event.

With a history of assisting veterans and being recognized by Military Times and Franchise Business Review for achievements in supporting veteran-related causes, HFC’s Million Dollar Franchise Event continues the tradition by granting military veterans of all backgrounds significant discounts off the purchase of a Budget Blinds or Tailored Living franchise. The ultimate goal of the Million Dollar Franchise Event is to award at least 30 Budget Blinds and/or Tailored Living franchises to deserving veterans totaling $1,000,000 in financial discounts. Veterans can begin the application process by visiting www.HFCSupportsVets.com.

Larry Sportello, a Budget Blinds franchisee and U.S. Navy veteran, had this to say about the opportunity: “I can tell you firsthand that being in the military instills valuable traits in an individual that will pay dividends during their entrepreneurial pursuits. Traits such as integrity, discipline, and determination, can all be directly applied to the business environment and will help them succeed.”

Starting a franchise business can be a fulfilling experience for veterans. It often gives them newfound purpose and an exciting platform where they can apply their military training. It can also provide financial security for them and their families. The Million Dollar Franchise Event gives them a much more accessible path to becoming business owners. It is HFC’s way of giving them the opportunity to live the American Dream which they have fought so hard to protect.

“My brother currently serves in the United States Navy and my father is a veteran of WW2,” said Tony Forbes, co-founder and EVP of HFC. “Launching the Million Dollar Franchise Event is the least we can do to honor the sacrifices they and other military personnel have made for this country. We hope the effort inspires other companies to take a more active role in helping veterans transition.”

Becoming a distinguished franchise owner can seem like a daunting task for a veteran, but Budget Blinds and Tailored Living offer more than just strong brand names, they offer a proven model for building a successful business. They also offer the Vets4Vets mentoring program where new veteran franchisees are partnered with existing veteran franchisees to offer a team focused support system that will help get their business off the ground.
