Tailored Living home organization specialists recently teamed up with their sister company Budget Blinds in an effort to provide quality custom window treatments and organizational solutions for the Boys and Girls Club of Newark, New Jersey on an episode of NBC’s “George to the Rescue.” Their efforts transformed the dilapidated 75 year old teen room into a chic new recreational and learning space.
With the expertise of Jay Feingold, the Tailored Living representative, old desks, tables, and storage areas were replaced with brand new counterparts much more suited to the space. David Powell of Budget Blinds Westfield used custom motorized creative shades provided by Draper with inspirational quotes to replace the rundown vertical shades. The Boys and Girls Club of Newark, New Jersey, is a home away from home for over 200 teens in the time between school and going home for the evening. It is a haven to help them stay off the streets and out of trouble; they receive guidance and support from local community role models.
Tailored Living franchise owner Jay Feingold relates that he, “Wanted to work on this project because it was a great way for us to contribute to the community.” In addition to the organizational systems provided in the entertainment center and storage areas for books, Tailored Living also provided the space with a coat of extremely durable floor coating that will make cleaning up a breeze.
Chad Hallock, CEO of Home Franchise Concepts, the parent company of Tailored Living and Budget Blinds commented that, “Using a forward thinking solutions based approach, we were able to maximize every square inch of the room while incorporation stylish design elements to make it a trendy and comfortable hangout for teens.” To view the episode in its entirety watch below, check out NBC’s website here: Tailored Living and Budget Blinds Team up with George to the Rescue
